HD Tube Plugs

HD Tube Plugs - Main image
$16.74 $24.99 In stock

These aluminum plugs are designed to press into the end of 3/16" diameter, .035" wall thickness DOM steel tubing, commonly used for custom builds like chassis or bumpers. The plug has a minor OD of .116" for a tight fit in most tubes, though fit may vary depending on tubing tolerances. These plugs are made to be a press fit, requiring a light tap with a soft hammer to install, however due to distortion from welding your tubing tolerances may change. Drilling the end of your tube with a 3mm drill and using adhesive such as CA glue or Loctite 638 retaining compound will secure the plug in place.

Includes the following:

  • 20pc Raw aluminum tube plugs

Note: These are used for custom builds, product support cannot be provided based on fitment in your build as there are too many variables to determine.

Ruby ★★★★★

Tapped these into my chassis build and they fit snugly with no slop. The .1 minor OD is clearly precise for 3/16" tubing. Solid little plugs.

Robert J. ★★★★★

The fit on my 3/16" DOM tubing is spot on, they seated with a few taps and sit flush. Aluminum keeps them light, which I appreciate on the bumper build.

Joshua ★★★★★

I was worried they'd be loose on my bumper's 3/16" DOM tube, but the fit is dead snug. Aluminum looks clean against the bare steel too.
